When preparing a home for sale, walk through each room of the home and determine where your eye is drawn to. A trick of the trade in home staging is to take the eye to the homes best features and away from the flaws. This is accomplished by setting bright-colored items in the area you want the potential buyer’s eye to go towards. Remember; you are selling the homes best features, not the stuff in it.
FOR EXAMPLE; in a square boxed room with one window; place a pair of chairs with an end table in between, centered under the window. Accent the chairs with red pillows and a red candle on the table. When a potential buyer walks into the room; the eye will go to the color, hence, the emphasis is taken away from a boring square boxed room to view a large window which is the best feature in the room.
THE INVESTMENT OF STAGING IS LESS THAN THE FIRST PRICE REDUCTION
